A raven bows before the Two Sisters peaks overlooking Vancouver. In Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) legend the twin daughters of a great chief encouraged him end a period of conflict by making peace with all the Coast Salish nations. For this, the sisters were immortalized and lifted up the mountains to watch over the land and peace of future generations.
The two peaks are also knowns as The Lions for their resemblance to lion statues in London, England.
